Welcome to Frontera

The Concha y Toro Vineyard was founded by Don Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro, VII Marquess of Casa Concha and ex-Minister of Finance, and his wife, Emiliana Subercaseaux, in 1883. To start the winery, he brought grape varieties from the Bordeaux region in France. The grapes that he brought were: Cabernet SauvignonSauvignon BlancSemillonMerlot, and Carmenère.

Frontera is one of the main brands of Concha y Toro,

and is a leading presence in the world of winemaking.

FRONTERA Chardonnay

Region: Central Valley, Chile

Style: White

Grape: Chardonnay

Aroma: The Wine has an intense fruity aroma with notes of apple, pear, papaya, and pineapple with butter and wood.

 

 

Taste: Presents a refreshing, soft balanced and a slightly sweet palate. 

Serve With: Great with Thai food, or wildly spiced Indian meat, seafood and tandoori paneer dishes.

FRONTERA Shiraz

Region: Central Valley, Chile

Style: Red

Grape: Shiraz

Aroma: The Wine exudes light cassis, plum, cherry, currant, raspberry, chocolate, earth & mint aromas.

 

 

Taste: Has a good berry flavor. Shows ripe red fruits with soft notes of vanilla and chocolate.

 

Serve With: Pairs well with grilled meats.

FRONTERA Merlot

Style: Red

Grape: Merlot

Aroma: The Wine presents aromas of fresh red fruits, plums and blackcurrant together with toasted notes highlighting coffee and chocolate. Has a nose of cherry and pepper with a soft touch of cocoa.

 

 

Taste: It is a medium- bodied wine with fine tannins and a long and persistent finish.

 

Serve With: This lusciously supple Merlot goes with chicken, quinoa, cheese, pasta, pizza, and any host of foods.
