Welcome to Chateau de Fontenille

Rising up from the confluence of two great rivers where the land meets the sea, the 2,000-year history of Bordeaux is intertwined with that of its surrounding region. Both in terms of its geography and its spirit.

During colonial times, Bordeaux developed its trade by exporting wine to Saint-Domingue and the Lesser Antilles. England set the trend for fine and full-bodied wines with high ageing potential, in demand by London’s high society set. The first corked and sealed bottles began to appear, gradually replacing tonneau barrels for the transportation of wine

CHATEAU DE FONTENILLE 
Entre Deux Mers Blanc AOC Bordeaux

Style: White

Grape: Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Semillon, Muscadelle

Aroma: Intense nose with an interesting and immediate pureness, with aromas of citrus fruit and white peaches. The wine displays aromas of citrus fruit and white peaches.

Taste: The palate is nicely balanced and lightly peppery, with a light acidity. It's a bursting proof of the new quality of the Entre-deux-Mers whites.

Serve With: Seafood and grilled fish and also amazing combination with goat cheese.

Style: Red

Grape: Merlot, Cabernet Franc,

Cabernet Sauvignon

Aroma: Boasts of subtle aromas of ripened black berries with a touch of warm green pepper.

 

 

Taste: This wine is dominated by red fruit and is of a great complexity. Has a nice ruby colour and is well balanced with structured tannins.

 

Serve With: Red meats, roasts and aged cheese.
